Windows Live Messenger finally on iPhone and touch – Macitynet.it
Since most of the instant messaging services (Skype in the first place) have an official application on the App Store, one wondered why Microsoft had not yet published a software for iPhone and iPod Touch dedicated to Live Messenger. The wait ended just this morning, when Windows Live Messenger 1.0 appeared on the Apple distribution platform. The software not only allows you to communicate through the Microsoft service, but perfectly integrated with social networks such as Facebook, Flickr and MySpace, to allow you to share news and updates with your friends. Predictably, it will also be possible to check the emails received in the mailbox of your Hotmail account, while in an instant you can take photos, create folders and share them with the various contacts.
Windows Live Messenger has already been published with support for iOS 4, so that it can be used in the background right away: at any time you can be notified of new messages from your friends or new e-mails in your mailbox. The application currently available only on the US App Store, but will also soon be published on the Italian one, and will be downloadable for free.
