Pages, the word processor for Mac developed by Apple. In this series of tutorials we see together to take the first steps to become experts! Part41: How to Use Master Objects
You can add transparencies, logos or other background images that appear in the same place on each page of word processing documents. These repeated graphic elements are called master objects.
If your document is divided into sections, you can insert various master objects in each section. Within a section, you can choose to insert a different master object on the first page than the section left and right pages
To add a master object to a word processing document:
- Add an object.
- For more information on floating objects, see What are online and floating objects? on page 149.
- Place the object anywhere on the page.
- Choose Format> Advanced> Move the object to the master section, then check that there is no check mark next to the Format> Advanced> Make master objects selectable option.
The selection handles disappear from the object that can no longer be selected. To modify or move a master object, you must first make the master objects selectable for the entire document, choosing Format> Advanced> Make the master objects selectable, in the case in which which this option is not already selected with a check mark. Selectable master objects differ from other objects in that they have blue selection indicators.
