Quark has announced a partnership with NewsGator, a company specializing in RSS readers and social computing and with which it will distribute digital content for iPhone, iPod Touch and soon also for iPad. The agreement provides for the use of Quark's Publishing System to instantly publish newsfeeds for Apple's digital devices through the use of a newsreader application that can be easily created using NewsGator's TapLynx network.
The combination between the Quark Publishing System (a system that allows you to automatically publish multiple content on various types of media) and the TapLynx framework makes it possible to distribute content optimized for Apple devices, reuse of existing material, allows the sharing of content on social networks with a single click and the creation and personalization of a newsreader application with the logo and colors of your company.
The TapLynx framework supports multiple formats and servers and publishers can easily monetize content and allow users to share on social networks. This framework is the same as the base of NetNewsWire, one of the most popular feed readers for iPhone.
Quark, already in the past days has indicated among the future strategies the supply of a digital publishing platform that should allow to create personalized content for publication on smartphones and tablets. For observers, Quark's answer to Adobe's plans which, in collaboration with Cond Nast, has created software to combine text, audio, video with web pages, integrating tools for social networks, tools for taking notes and export functions. The company has partnered with KNFB Reading Technology (creators of the free Blio eReader) and with Baker & Taylor, a large distributor of volumes and digital media, for the creation of a platform called "Digital Publishing 2.0".
