MuseScore, updated the open source program to create and print sheet music

MuseScore, cross-platform open source software for music notation, has been released in version 3.4.1, also compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina.

The new release comes after a series of texts on users and integrates telemetry functionality that will allow to further improve the software by collecting data anonymously.

Among the peculiarities of the program: support for an unlimited number of staves, alterations (conventional, double, courtesy, non-traditional), time units, tempo changes, dotted notes (singles and doubles), upbeat support or incomplete measures, chord names, percussion notations, sound libraries, the ability to customize the page layout, insert notes from MIDI devices in real time.

The application (download from here) supports most of the notational formats out there, allows you to import / export MIDI files, MusicXML, export to PDF, PNG / SVG, WAV, FLAC and OGG audio files. Notes are inserted into a virtual music document using the computer keyboard, mouse or with a MIDI keyboard. Multilingual application (including Italian). The minimum requirement on Mac macOS 10.10 or later.
