MokaFive turns iPhone into a LivePC
The first examples were LiveCDs, often available with Linux and also USB memory sticks where you can store applications, contacts and settings to recreate your PC work environment on any computer or to always have indispensable data and programs with you. . Now MokaFive, a startup born from the cauldron of Stanfonrd, allows you to do the same thing using the internally developed software Sentilnel and the memory integrated in the iPhone.
Sentinel is not a program in a complete and definitive version but a "tech preview", a sort of preview with which it is possible to experiment but whose use is not recommended for real applications. With Sentinel it is possible to store any Windows application or the entire workplace inside the iPhone. It is possible to create ad hoc packages of files, software and settings which are then transferred to the memory of the Apple smartphone within a MokaFive LivePC image. Remember that the MokaFive solution can be used with any other smartphone as long as it can be recognized by the PC as a USB memory stick.
Sentinel of MokaFive requires the USB connection and at the moment can only work with PC systems with Windows XP, finally iTunes must be installed on every computer to which we want to connect iPhone with LivePC. The Sentinel preview can be downloaded from this web page.
