Dimensity 820 the name of a new MediaTek processor that promises to make 5G phones more accessible.
The Dimensity 820 in practice a powerful processor with integrated 5G functionality, able to rival the Qualcomm offer and the Snapdragon 765 chips. MediaTek has not indicated a release date but the processor should arrive soon in new devices of companies such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Motorola.x

In other words, the chip in question offers advanced features for the sub-6Ghz 5G technology of Asia, North America and Europe all grouped in a single processor intended for medium and high-end products.
The processor could only be placed one step lower than MediaTek's Dimensity 1000 chip; offers four 2.6 Ghz Arm Cortex-A76 cores (instead of the A77), along with four 2.0 Ghz Cortex-A55 cores and five cores for the Arm Mali-G57 GPU. It also integrates the AI MediaTek APU 3.0 processing unit for facial recognition and other functions, allows you to manage 4K HDR video recording and HDR10 + media playback. The processor supports cameras up to 80 megapixels and 120Hz displays and offers improvements related to gaming with MediaTek's HyperEngine 2.0.
