MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2013 and 2014 are now considered "obsolete" by Apple

Apple has included some MacBook Air and MacBook Pro products in 2013 and 2014 in the list of products considered "vintage" or "obsolete". The machines in question are:

  • MacBook Air 11 ‚Ä≥ met 2013
  • MacBook Air 13 ‚Ä≥ met 2013
  • MacBook Air 11 ‚Ä≥ early 2014
  • MacBook Air 13 ‚Ä≥ early 2014
  • MacBook Pro 13 ‚Ä≥ met 2014

The list also included the 5th generation iPod touch.

As we have explained several times, Apple regularly updates the list of hardware considered vintage and obsolete, products for which the house no longer offers assistance.

In particular, vintage are considered the products whose production was stopped more than five, but less than seven years ago; obsolete products are those which were discontinued more than seven years ago. Apple no longer offers hardware support for the latter, without exception, and service providers cannot order replacement parts.

The list useful to all owners of an Apple product that has malfunctions, to find out if in any way still able to have assistance and support for it or if, on the other hand, simply everything that can have it disposed of as electronic waste no longer working .
