As we said earlier, Hermstedt's WebShuttle DSL was one of the modem models that had found it difficult to connect to the network with the latest update available. Mac OS X 10.2.4.
The German manufacturer claimed to have received the necessary information too late to remedy it.
Now available a software update that everyone can download starting from www.hermstedt.com/english/update/updateWSDSL.html and which allows the regular operation of the DSL modem.
Two updates are online (but you can also request the CD), one (1.2 MB) reserved for those who connect with some European ISPs (ADSL Annex B: Austria, Denmark, Luxembourg, Holland and Switzerland) and the other (1 , 1 MB) for ISPs of all other countries, including Italy via Galactica, Infostrada, Interbusiness, Telecom Italia and Tin.it (ADSL Annex A: Australia, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Holland, New Zealand, Switzerland and USA).
In the case of the internal modem present on all recent Apple machines, in case of problems simply select the driver with V34 compression, (thanks to R.G. for reporting).
