iPhones sold 1.7 million in three days

More than 1.7 million iPhones 4 sold in three days. Here is the historical record announced by Apple with a release released a few minutes ago with which the point is made on the launch of the new version of the phone.

The figure substantially in line with that elaborated by some market observers only slightly more optimistic and according to which at the end of Friday the iPhones sold had been 1.6 million. Recall that this exceptional record was the result of only five markets, although the most important in the world for Apple: the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Japan.

"This is the most successful product launch in Apple's history," said Steve Jobs, Apple CEO. "We apologize to those customers who have not been satisfied with the insufficient inventory available."

The good news that, at least for now, there are no changes to the launch plans in other countries including Italy: Apple reiterates that the phone "will be available in 18 other countries by the end of July"; in addition to Italy, these are ustralia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, South Korea, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, New Zealand, Holland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
