iPhone also sold by Wal-Mart?
Apple and Wal-Mart could soon put iPhone on sale. The indiscretion on what could be a significant blow in terms of the partnership for Cupertino, rebounds from Boy Genius Report.
The site that in the past has proven to have good antennas as regards certain aspects of marketing, especially from the point of view of sales channels, cites sources familiar with negotiations between Apple and the American retail giant that would have produced fruit: from 15 November Cupertino's phone will appear on Wal-Mart's shelves. If the rumor were confirmed, iPhone would have a huge display window available. In the US there are 3,500 Wal-Mart stores and having a similar sales network on its side two weeks after Black Friday, the day on which the race for Christmas gifts in the US formally starts, would be an indisputable advantage if only under the visibility profile.
Recall that Apple has already implemented an expansion of the iPhone sales network, making a pact with Best Buy, the leading American retailer in the consumer electronics field.
