Helsing's Fire, brilliant horror puzzle game for iPhone and touch – Macitynet.it
A few days after the official announcement and the release of the first trailer, Chillingo has published the appealing Helsing’s Fire puzzle game on the App Store. The game was created by Ratloop, whose team made themselves known in the independent development scene thanks to games such as Mightier and Rocketbirds Revolution, both finalists at past editions of the Independent Games Festival. In Helsing’s Fire, the player will have the task of defeating Dracula and his henchmen, using his torch as the only weapon. In fact, there will be weak enemies only in the light or only in the dark, and in each level the torch must be positioned so that the shadows created by the columns and objects in the room only affect creatures that are vulnerable in the dark, leaving the others to light .
This is an apparently simple idea, but nothing short of brilliant, which is repeated over the 90 levels and across three game worlds. Each scenario is also generated randomly, so it will be impossible to find yourself playing the same level over and over again. The excellent variety of levels and enemies, around 13 different, together with the support of online and objective rankings, contributes to making the title even more long-lived and captivating. Unfortunately, a trial version is not available, but Helsing's Fire available for iPhone and iPod Touch for only 79 cents.
