Google confirmed that it will introduce the ability to make group calls via Google Duo also on the Web. The innovation will be launched as a preview on Chrome in the coming weeks and will subsequently be affected by a wider "release".
The web version will allow users to initiate a call with anyone with a Google Account. The BigG app also has one new Family mode which allows you to try new graphic effects during video calls.
The new Duo feature comes only a week after Google has worked to allow people to contact other users using only their email address, reducing reliance on phone numbers for making calls. The Mountain View giant has not yet specified when this new feature will actually be implemented: the hope of users that it can happen very soon, given that at the moment it is possible make only one-to-one calls using Google Duo on the web.
As mentioned, a new Family mode has been added to Google Duo. From now on, users will be able to receive calls with family members and use unique features during the video call. To start this function, just go to the menu icon and click on Family.
Among the added "masks", we find that by astronauts and also a cat mask, along with the others that were already available. The Californian giant claims that the new Family mode available as soon as you log in to Duo with your Google account. However, it is very likely that BigG has opted for a gradual implementation and it may take some time for all users to receive it.
Finally, yesterday made Google a nice gift to Duo users, adding a new effect for Mother's Day: users could in fact turn into a bouquet of flowers.
