Evernote Food 2.0 the new version of the application that allows you to remember your culinary experiences. Since the first version, the app has been improved and updated and now offers the possibility to explore the recipes. You can scroll through tens of thousands of recipes from over one hundred blogs and websites and cut the one of your interest in your Evernote account by adding any tags or notes. The ability to search by dish, ingredients and blog name is included.
The app optimized for both users and content providers. Whenever a user chooses a recipe, he is directed to the site where he can browse and find out what he has to offer. By using Evernote as an archive with the "My cookbook" function, every single recipe saved using a Web Clipper can be found on the iPhone or iPad. Each recipe cut using Evernote Food is also displayed in this view; as in the recipe explorer section, you can scroll or search to find what we are looking for.
The app analyzes the notes in the account to identify the recipes (no special tags or notebooks are needed), excluding travel itineraries and work projects. An advantage of this process that it is now possible to assign an author to recipes and Evernote Food will recognize and display them along with any element cut out. The app is always synchronized with all devices (using Evernote) and therefore it is possible to schedule a dinner with the iPad, take the iPhone and head towards the shop: by starting the app we will see everything that has been saved.
The Restaurants section helps you discover new places and add them to your list. Just touch the search box and enter a name or type of cuisine, after which, we can choose a location anywhere in the world or stay in the local area by touching Current position. The list and the map will automatically update to display whatever is present in the chosen area and corresponding to the search. By choosing a restaurant it will be possible to view the relevant details including the address, the type of cuisine, the photos and, in some cases, the menu. The tab on the far right of this section called My meals and displays a list of all the restaurants you have been to. The entire meal history is presented as a list and a map of the selected location. If we want to see where we ate for example on the last trip to Paris, simply open this view.
The developers have redesigned the look and feel of the application with more accurate navigation and a more captivating photographic grid. The most intuitive interface, the clearest text, the map and the largest photos. You can create a multi-course photo album by setting the app to camera mode and simply taking a photo of each new dish. You can add photos of diners and quick captions. Everything can be shared by e-mail, via Twitter and Facebook.
Evernote Food 2.0 can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
