Apple closes the PIN flaw on iPhone logomacitynet1200wide 1

With the new version of Firmware 2.1 Apple has corrected some security problems related to the iPhone, in particular the so-called PIN leak. The latter was discovered in the last days of August: practically on the iPhone from the emergency call screen, it was possible to access content, services and information available on the smartphone even without entering the PIN code. Macity covered the problem in this article.

To access information and use iPhone services, simply press the emergency call button and then press the hardware Home button twice. The problem did not occur with firmware versions prior to 2.0: today on this page of Apple support announces that the problem solved thanks to the new version of Firmware 2.1 for iPhone.

Also at the same address, other bugs related to iPhone security are described, these also resolved with the current version of the Firmware.
