AmTech: "Modest news on September 9"
An event of modest importance, almost entirely focused on iPods and with novelties of secondary importance: the probability of relevant announcements with regard to Macs is scarce. The forecasts of the analysis company American Technology Research about the news that Apple will introduce on September 9 are downsized towards the bass the amount of news that Cupertino has in store for the presentation.
So the forecasts developed by American Technology Research analyst Shaw Wu align with those of other important researchers, who increasingly agree in expecting news limited to iPod and iTunes. Macity talked about it earlier in this article. To elaborate his prediction, the researcher Wu verified the situation of the Apple supply chain, thus finding a low probability of any announcements related to new MacBooks, as instead believed for example by Piper Jaffray .
Also according to American Technology Research, as reported by the other iPodnn, the news on the iPod will also be of secondary importance or, at least, not of the same level as the 2007 presentation. Only models redesigned for the fourth generation nano and for iPod touch, of which a new larger version is foreseen and perhaps with more affordable prices.
Finally, despite the absence of announcements at the September 9 event, researcher Shawn Wu convinced that Apple is working on the new MacBooks but the presentations will slip a little further in time.
