Altec Lansing is preparing to launch a new model of its dedicated stereo systems for iPods. This is the iM7, an original cylindrical device that contains the speakers and the iPod, reproducing a sound that should be particularly sharp and clean with excellent bass quality.

The prominent feature, in fact, is a 4 ”subwoofer that uses Altec Lansing's proprietary XdB (Extreme Dynamic Bass) technology and is already used in other American home products.

Among the other features of the iM7, it is powered by both battery and a current transformer, a remote control capable of controlling the iPod and the volume and the reproduction of images on a television if you are using an iPod photo.
